Parcel shipping system integrates the Parcel Shipping Processes to your order fulfillment system. The shipment data is seamlessly transferred as parcels to be handled by UPS, FedEx, and/or parcel shipping services . The shipping information form Parcel Shipping System is transferred back (tracking number and charges) to the order processing system, thereby completing the process.
The interfaces also take care of voiding, reshipping, manifesting and other shipping related tasks.
This System makes use of UPS Online WorldShip and FedEx Shipping API's to do the actual shipments (avialable free of cost from the respective vendors). Labels are printed on thermal printers, normally available free from your carriers.

Windows PC (NT/2K) with 256M memory and 100M free disk space.
Serial Ports for thermal printers (UPS-UPS2442, FedEx-Eltron/Zebra LP2844 or similar)
Internet connectivity with 56Kb or better speed
Host System connectivity and ODBC links to host database
(AS/400 systems require IBM Client Server ODBC Driver)

UPS Online WorldShip: |
Double Click on UPS Online WorldShip icon to startup up the standalone UPS system. This system is designed to operate standalone even when there is no internet or AS/400 connectivity.

| Set Automatic Export After Each Shipment - use SHPEXPMAP |

This option activates the process by which UPS outputs tracking information.

| FedEx Shipping System: |
FedEx does not require any special startup process. FedEx Shipping API would be started up as a service when the system starts up.

| Void shipment |
|
In processed screen, you can void a record (if not closed). Select the required row and press 'void' button. This will generate the request to FedEx server to void the given package and tracking number. The list shows the status of voided record as 'V'

| Report |
|
From this screen you can take daily processed data report. On the screen you can enter your required date in "mm/dd/yy" format and then press ok button. System automatically generates the report of processed data and popup in WordPad, from this you can take the printout.

| Procedure |
|
Select one row from left side panel
Press on Process Button on the right side panel. Shipment will be transferred to FedEx server and upon successful completion of the shipment, the printer will start printing the label.
